The Bridge of Dreams Chapter I
Goku stared at Vegeta like he was depressed. “They’re dead,” he said. Vegeta smirked. His armor glistened in the sun. He chuckled,
then he walked over to Goku. “Kakarot, I’ve got a secret.” Goku looked dumb-founded at Vegeta. Vegeta turned his
back toward Goku, and bowed his head. “This secret I’m about to tell you is for
your ears alone!” Goku rang with sweat. Just what was Vegeta’s secret,
he thought. “You promise not to tell.” “I won’t tell a single soul.” “Good. I’m falling in love.” What! Goku couldn’t believe his ears. Vegeta is
in love! But how? Goku’s period of contemplation rang with answers.
“Who are you falling in love with, Vegeta.” “Bulma.” “Does she know this?” “No. That’s why I wanted to talk to you alone.” Unbeknownst to both Vegeta and Goku, Bulma was standing
behind a tree. She got tears in her eyes, and ran away. Vegeta inspected
the ground with his feet, scraping his feet back and forth. “Gee, Vegeta. You should have told me long ago.” “It just started, Kararot. The mushy feelings I
get whenever I think of her get worse and worse! It’s useless!
She probably doesn’t like me.” “Don’t give your dreams up! You’ve got
to tell her!” “I’m too nervous, Kakarot. After my nastiness
towards all of you, she probably thinks I’m a jerk!” “There, there, Vegeta. Let’s go to my house and talk about this over a cup of coffee.” They arrived at the Sons’ house at dusk. Inside,
Gohan was watching television, and Chi-Chi was sitting in her chair
sewing. “Dad’s home!” “Hi son.” “Why is Vegeta here?” "He and I need to talk man to man." Chi-Chi walked into the kitchen. "Hi honey," she said to Goku. "Mind if Vegeta stays for dinner?" "Why?" Goku whispered Vegeta's secret. "No, I don't mind." TBC..... |
