Episode 6 –Intense hatred! The True Feelings of a Saiya-jin Warrior!

The Z-soldiers stood anxious to learn the identity of this creature. It had been able to take Vejita down with one hit, without raising its chi. Slowly it lifted its hand up to its hood. And grabbed one side of it. Then it lifted the other hand, and pulled it down revealing its identity.

Vejita’s attacker had been none other than Gokou’s son, Goten. He lifted the cape off, and threw it to the ground. It had been two hours since he had been captured. Only two and his chi was already dark. Evil. Filled with rage.

“Everyone. Leave now. I only have three I want to fight. I have no desire to hurt anyone else. But if I have to, I will…” Goten pointed at Gokou, then Trunks and finally the crater Vejita was still laying in. “These are three I want to fight.”

“Goten! What is the point of this fight?”

Goten had to restrain himself. “What is the point?” He repeated. “The point?” He cried. “The point is you. Must. Die!” His hair became rigid. Electricity streaked around his body.

“Super Saiya-jin… Level 2? When did you achieve this?”

Goten merely laughed. “Fight me old man. Let me show you now what I can do.”

“Why? Why do you want to fight me? I won’t fight anyone with no reason!”

Goten raised his hand. “If you won’t fight me… then you wont stop this…” He fired of a large chi blast at Gokou. Gokou made no attempt to stop it as it flew into his body, sending his eyes wide. The explosion threw a fair amount of debris around. One piece flew into Juunanagou’s face, cutting his cheek. The blood dripped slowly down his face.

“Goten!” Tenshinhan yelled. “Stop this. I’ll fight you.”

“You? You’ll fight me? Heh… It would be a slaughter. I fight to the death!” Goten kept his eyes on the smoke that had begun to clear.

“Why do you want… to fight… me?” Gokou asked again panting. His gi was ripped and he was covered in scratches.

“You want to know why? Do you really?” Gokou nodded. “Very well… It’s because I hate you… You are the embodiment of everything I hate and despise. I remember some on commenting on my strength, and how I should have kept up my training… I’m not sure who it was but it made me realize what you really were to me… And then Vejita asked what I thought of you… I now know that I
have no reason to hide what I feel…”

“Goten this isn’t you! They did something to you when they captured you. This is foolish.”

Goten looked at Gohan fiercely. “No! This isn’t foolish! This is what I feel! You’re all bugs! You must be crushed if you can’t see that I am right! So just lay there and die!” He raised his hand. It was open for a short while. He then slammed it closed, into a fist.

Tenshinhan grabbed his arm in an attempt to calm him down. He sighed and seemed to shrug, when he threw his head back into Tenshinhan’s face! Tenshinhan fell backwards, blood covering most of his face. Goten turned around to face him. He became disappointed when he saw him hit the ground.

“Kamehame… HA!” Kuririn fired a blast at Goten. Goten screamed, his aura immediately grew until the blast was nullified.

At Zarak’s ship Azaelya was watching everything from the main computer screen. This is ridiculous… he’s losing control… Just like last time… “Zarak, why do we need to find a way to get to the next level?”

“Because…”

“That’s no reason dammit! Tell me. Why are you so obsessed with reaching the next level? Do you remember what happened the last time we forced someone to undergo this transformation?”

“Of course I remember!” Zarak roared. “We need to find a way to reach the next level. I made a promise to my father…”

Azaelya chuckled. “Your father? Is that why you chose Goten in particular? Because of the whole father issue? Or is it just because he’s a Saiya-jin?”

“You know very well being a Saiya-jin doesn’t matter. Just as long as we can reach the next level…”

“Right… But if we don’t stop him his anger will become to powerful… What if he actually manages to surpass the next level?”

“That is impossible… I doubt we will ever even reach the next level let alone surpass it.”

“Then why try?” Zarak turned away from her and flew up into the air, before he could get away though Azaelya grabbed his leg. “Do you still love me?”

Zarak lowered himself so he could stare directly into her eyes. “Of course… I’ll see you back at the ship…” He kissed her on the cheek, not noticing the tears welling in her eyes. She thought back to the conversation she had with Tetsujin regarding the holo-disk he had a stolen and was decoding a day or two ago.

“Azaelya, it worries you doesn’t it?” Tetsujin asked not taking his eyes of the screen.

“What does?”

“What I said before… About you being a flavor of the week…”

Azaelya sighed. “I guess. I’m not really sure though… I just don’t know what to think…”

Tetsujin saved the decoding he had done so far and left the screen. “He’s already becoming bored with you… You can tell… Just don’t ask him if he still loves you…”

“What? Are you insane!? He’s told me he loves me… Why would he lie…?”

Tetsujin turned away from her laughing to himself, “so, you still don’t know…”

“Kamehameha!” The beam of energy hit Goten in the back directly. Slamming him into one of the supporting pillars of God’s palace. Gohan lowered his arms. “Goten. I’m sorry…”

He pulled himself out of the rubble and brushed himself down. He had a large gash on his forehead. His body was covered with scratches, and his gi was mostly ripped.

“This is pointless…”

“What, Kakarotto?”

“Everyone leave. He only wants to fight Vejita, Trunks and me. No reason for anyone else to be hurt.”

“Gokou… Is this wise?” Asked Tenshinhan.

“Yeah… Go on… We’ll be fine.”

Goten watched everyone leave, with a twisted smile on his face. Kuririn was the last to leave. For a while he just stood at the edge of the lookout. He just couldn’t move. Goten became frustrated by this quickly. That idiot! Why isn’t he leaving…? Father told him to leave…

“Goten! Stop this please! You don’t have to hurt anyone!” Kuririn pleaded in a last ditch effort.

Goten’s eyes widened. His hand flew threw the air, his hand open as if he was waving to someone. “Be gone!” As if Kuririn had been punched, a blast of energy—invisible energy—threw him off the edge of the lookout. “Now we can begin.”

Goten flew over to Vejita. Vejita flipped back dodging his punch only to be hit in the back by his leg as he was coming back down to the ground. He groaned in pain. Vejita had no time to think about the pain anymore and crouched, sweeping Goten off his feet.

“Is this all you got? And you’re supposed to be our prince? You’re—” Goten wasn’t even able to finish the sentence off. Vejita’s right arm sent him flying into the palace wall. Vejita zanzokened to right in front of him. Punch after punch Vejita was driving his fists into Goten’s stomach. Blood began to dribble from Goten’s mouth.

“Father! Stop it! Don’t kill him!” Trunks called out.

Its too late Trunks… He has to die…

Vejita raised his arm and straightened his hand out, like a blade. He then prepared to drive it into Goten’s chest. A hand came down on Vejita’s shoulder.

“Vejita… not now… we can save him…” Gokou removed his hand from Vejita’s shoulder.

“Damn you, Kakarotto… Why let him live? He’s the weak link in the chain. Look at what they did to him in only a few hours!”

Goten stood up. He held his head. His pupils were becoming smaller. His eyes were becoming bloodshot. His body began to convulse. A blood-curdling scream ripped through the air.

Goten looked around, he was no longer on God’s palace… It was dark. Everywhere. “What’s happening to me?” He asked himself out loud.

“Fight them Goten…”

“Don’t give in…”

“Don’t let them win…”

“They’ll kill you…”

“Turn your back and you’ll die…”

“Be careful…”

“Return to us…” Voices. Some familiar, some from the space pirates rang through the room… they cut into him like knifes…

“Stop it! Let me go… just let me be free…” Goten pleaded.

Zarak’s figure seemed to appear in front of him. “You can’t leave… this is what you wanted isn’t it? The chances to prove everyone wrong…” Suddenly the figure of Zarak became Gokou. “The chance to take revenge on me for abandoning everyone…”

“NO! I don’t want to! I won’t be your pawn! I have to much to live for!”

The figure of Gokou looked at him. “Do you really?”

“KAMEHAMEHA!” Goten fired a blast at Gokou. The figure vanished. “You’re doing it again…”

“Yes… I know…” The voice echoed around the room.

“You won’t accept your mistakes… Your problems… You abandoned us!” Goten screamed. Tears were rolling down his cheeks. “Your training… your fighting… was it more important than us?”

There was no answer.

“So… it’s true… I have to stop you…”

“You’re pathetic…” Vejita said, behind him.

“You’re all so weak. You’re emotions get in the way.”

Goten threw an elbow at Vejita. Vejita grabbed and threw him into the wall.

What’s happening to me? Why is this happening?

“You’re no better… you kept trying to fight him… forcing him to train… WHY CAN”T YOU JUST DIE!?” Goten screamed.

Goten closed his eyes tightly, and then opened them again. The scenery had changed. It was now in a desert. But it wasn’t any desert. He saw his father laying on the ground. Covered in blood, bruises and other wounds. Vejita was wearing some Saiya-jin armour. Broken and shattered, one eye was damaged and he could barely stand. Gohan and Kuririn also lay on the ground. But there was something odd. He looked over and felt three very weak powers approaching. A burnt and battered Piccolo and Yamucha, and a one-armed, blood covered Tenshinhan landed on the ground.

“What’s happening…?” Goten asked himself. Goten had been told of this before. It was the area where Gokou and Vejita had their first tremendous battle, after Nappa’s defeat and Tenshinhan’s, Piccolo’s and Yamucha’s death. The odd thing was they all were wearing what Gohan had said they were wearing back then, but they looked the way, and were as old as they were now. Except for the wounds.

Goten’s left arm started to convulse, it raised against his will.

“Son Goten!” Tenshinhan cried. Goten’s arm fired. It hit Tenshinhan in the chest. He fell instantly.

Piccolo, Kuririn, Gohan and Vejita began to fire. Each blast missed, He shot Piccolo three times in the chest. Smoke came from Piccolo’s mouth as the third shot pierced his chest. Gohan fell after a shot to the head. Vejita was knocked down by a blast to the chest also.

Goten walked over to Gokou but was stopped by Vejita, who grabbed onto his leg.

“Don’t…” He pleaded.

“Such heroic nonsense…” Goten disintegrated his body.

He then walked over to Gokou and picked him up. “I would have waited an eternity for this… It’s over father…” He snapped Gokou’s neck.

Goten snapped out of the trance on God’s palace. Vejita, Trunks and Gokou just stood there.

“Oh god no… no… NOO~O!” Goten screamed. “I’ll kill you all!”

Hiya! This is Gokou! What’s happening to Goten? We don’t know what they did to him. But they did something to his mind. He’s going insane and may be his own Instrument of Destruction if we can’t stop him. But will we be able to kill someone we’re so close to? Find out in the next Dragonball R: Hold on Goten! The darkness envelopes all!
