TITLE: Return of the Saiyan King

Chapter 2: Saiyan King

King Vegeta: Ahhh my son I’m so glad that you are still alive after all
these years.

Vegeta: ‘Father… So it is you. But how? I was told that you died at Frieza’s
hands.’

King Vegeta: ‘No that weakling couldn’t kill me… Not once my power reached a
new level.’

Vegeta: ‘New level?’

Goku: ‘What the heck is going on here?’

Vegeta: ‘If you want to find out then shut up and listen!’

King Vegeta smiles, but then he remembers why he is there.

King Vegeta: ‘Well it would be best if I told you the whole story then….

Many years ago, when Frieza was still alive, as you know, he took you away
from me and refused to let me see you. I could not bare to let that freak
keep you so I began to train at a new level. I began to undergo the same
training that the first Super Saiyans’ had been through and soon my powers
became greater that of even Frieza himself….

I took several of my elite soldiers to Frieza’s ship to reclaim you but when
I got there I did not find Frieza but instead a being of such magnitude that
even my new powers proved useless, during the battle I reached new levels of
power and even became a Super Saiyan but this came to no avail as the beasts
power seemed infinite.

All of my men were destroyed by that creature and I was left for dead on
foreign planet.

After my defeat I lost all will to live until I sensed a power I had not
felt for many years. The power of my son, you Vegeta, when I felt your power
in the distance I felt new strength and knew that I had to do what I could
to see my son once more and exact my vengeance on that beast.

I began to train once more and as I trained I explored the planet on which I
was stranded to find remnants of an ancient Namekian palace. In the palace
were many strange rooms which held the training manuals of the Super Namek
race, I also founds texts which spoke of a room of gravity equal to that of
the planet Vegeta and ten times that of the planet Namek.

The texts also spoke of four entrances to this room, each entrance in a
different section of the galaxy. The nearest entrance was on the planet
itself hidden behind a wall of solid and pure energy.

At first the idea of getting through this wall seemed rather trivial and I
thought nothing of it but I found the wall impervious to all of my energy
attacks and even my Super Saiyan transformation proved all but fruitless.’

Goku: ‘What not even a Super Saiyan could get through it whoa those Super
Nameks must have been something out of the ordinary.’

Vegeta is clearly annoyed by Goku’s interruption and shows it by grabbing
him in a headlock and telling him to shut up.

Vegeta: ‘Carry on father, there shall be no more interruptions.’

King Vegeta smiles.

King Vegeta: ‘My, you haven’t changed a bit my son, but now on with my
story.

Yes that wall took three years of training and all of my power to destroy it
but then I found out the reason the wall was of such intense energy.

The wall itself was only for the sake of those on the outside as beyond was
a hideous creature of tremendous power named the Algoriene Serpent. This
Serpent was powerful of course, it could have easily shattered that wall but
I found it to be too stupid to concentrate its energy on that particular
panel of its chamber.

I had read about the Algoriene Serpent in several books and had learnt that
it had just one weakness, for you see, this creature was nothing more then a
concentration of space and time that had formed an independent life form.

Its weakness being a blue scale that when removed would unravel the creature
and return the chamber to its original form. Using the second level of the
Super Saiyan transformation I was able to find the weakness and exploit it,
in turn returning the chamber to its original form, the doorway to a time
chamber.

Upon entering the chamber I expected to find three other doorways but all I
found was the figure of an old Namek. The Namek spoke to me and told me that
in order to see my son I would have to train for two years and on the last
day of those two years the doorway I entered through would close and the one
I seek would open at the opposite end.

So after the figure disappeared I had no choice but to train and I waited
for two years until finally that same Namek appeared and said ‘I hath
commanded my son of twelve generations to open the doorway to the one you
seek, now hurry you have only one hour’.

The Namek didn’t need to tell me twice, so I flew at my maximum speed and
arrived with just minutes to spare to find two Nameks standing at the
entrance of a doorway to this planet know as earth. After that I stayed only
long enough to have my armour repaired by a man named Po-Po and rest.

When I was well rested I explained my story to the Nameks and after they
pointed me in your direction I bid them farewell.

That brings us up to the present day. And now that I am reunited with my son
I must ask his assistance to defeat whatever the creature was that did this
to me all of those years ago.’

Vegeta: ‘Father... I will tear that creature’s heart out with my own two
hands if that is what it takes.’

Goku: ‘Are you sure it is still a threat to you after all of your
transformations?’

King Vegeta: ‘Yes I am most certain that I am still no match for it.’

Goku: ‘Well if that’s the case then I guess I’ll you as well.’

King Vegeta looks at Goku puzzled.

King Vegeta: ‘And what may I ask is it that you will do?’

King Vegeta presses a button on his scouter and waits for a diagnostic. Beep
beep, the scouter shows a power level of 17 but King Vegeta is puzzled by
how his scouter contradicts what he is sensing.

King Vegeta: ‘Why is it that I can feel the energy patterns of a Super
Saiyan coming from him?… King Vegeta looks at Gohan, and him?… The king then
looks towards Goten and Trunks, and those two boys over there?’

Vegeta: ‘That is simple; (Vegeta points to Goku) this is a Saiyan who was
sent to earth just before the planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza.’

King Vegeta: ‘That little B@$tard destroyed Vegeta… I knew I was right to
try and kill him.’

Vegeta: ‘He was also the one who beat Frieza. (Vegeta points at Gohan) This
is his eldest son who is a half blooded Saiyan of reasonable powers, (Vegeta
points to Goten and Trunks) and over there is my son, the boy with blue
hair, and his ( Vegeta points back to Goku) younger son.’

King Vegeta: ‘So you are all Saiyans? Well this means that I may rid the
universe of that creature sooner then I first thought.’
