TITLE: Return of the Saiyan King Chapter 3: The Stage is set Meanwhile, at Dende’s lookout… Picollo’s thoughts: ‘I still can’t believe that man was Vegeta’s father… He was so determined to see his son that he risked his life to do so. When we first met Vegeta we had a hard time stopping him from destroying the planet let alone having a civilized conversation…And that monster he spoke of… I can hardly imagine its power if he is worried about it at his level of power.’ Picollo floats upwards until he is about 6 feet off the ground and begins to generate electricity as he tries to clear his mind. Picollo’s thoughts: ‘I am getting a terrible feeling that that monster will be heading to our part of the galaxy soon and I have to do my part to stop it when it arrives.’ Back at the hospital… Vegeta’s thoughts: ‘So that Namek knew my father was here for some time and did nothing to inform me of his arrival… I will get him for that… I don’t believe my father made it here but I’m getting the feeling that his arrival is just the beginning of all this, and if that monster does show up then that will be the perfect chance for us to compare powers.’ Goku: ‘So you’re really a Super Saiyan too… I really just have to see this, could you-?’ Before Goku finishes his sentence King Vegeta tenses his muscles and begins to raise his energy level at tremendous speeds. King Vegeta’s hair begin to stand on end and his pupils begin to shine a dark green, he thrusts his arms forward and his hair begins to shine a golden colour, that has to be seen to be believed. Goten and Trunks turn to see what is going on and, as King Vegeta is a Super Saiyan, they see two Vegetas one Super Saiyan and the other normal. No sooner have the two of them looked at each other to signal that they investigate, the other Vegeta, Goku and Gohan transform as well. Goten and Trunks look at each other one more time and then make a silent agreement. The two bolt for the others, turn Super Saiyan and nearly knock out a nurse in their hurry. King Vegeta: ‘Ah! So I was right to sense the Super Saiyan powers in all of you.’ Chi-chi rushes over to the group, looks at the Saiyans, looks at Bulma and they both faint. When Bulma and Chi-chi come to they look up to find three doctors and six Saiyans looking down at them. Goku: ‘Boy, you two picked a great place to faint… You both fell onto stretchers and all.’ Chi-chi preps her throat for the scream to end all screams but manages to calm herself down enough to hold it in. Vegeta and King Vegeta explain the entire situation and the ladies even like the idea of Vegeta’s father being around to keep him in-line, so to speak. Meanwhile, on a ship many light-years from Earth… Creature1: ‘I think the master is waking from her slumber.’ Creature2: ‘She’s not gonna be pleased when she finds out what those Saiyans did to the rest of her family.’ A third creature looks at a diagnostic of its master’s body and carefully monitors the changes in her resting body. Creature3: ‘You two better clean this place up coz it looks like the master will awaken from her rest any minute now.’ Back at the hospital… Our Saiyan heroes help the two women up and as they do the 6 warriors freeze. Gohan: ‘Dad… did you feel that?’ Goku: ‘Yeah, it was some kind of tremendous energy…I…I don’t understand how anything could be that powerful…And yet although I sense its power I cannot sense the being that it belongs to. It’s like it’s both too far away and not fully conscious yet.’ Vegeta: ‘Goku is right… The power is very far away and we can still feel it but it is like the power we sense is just a taste of its true potential… Father is this the monster you spoke of?’ King Vegeta: (a terrified look on his face) ‘Yes
that is the same power I felt all those years ago… But it’s
like the power has increased to an even higher level… I admit
this is the energy signal of the creature I was Trunks: ‘Wow that thing sure feels evil.’ Goten: ‘Yeah, it makes me want to throw up.’ The fighters can feel the power steadily rise but feel no signs of it slowing down. At Kami house… Master Roshi, the idea of watching his favourite gymnastics show ruined, stands up and looks to Krillin, Android 18, Yamcha, Tien and Chia-tzu. Master Roshi: ‘Oh gosh… It looks like trouble is brewing, and of the likes we’ve never known before.’ Yamcha: ‘I know we agreed to stop fighting but this is serious. We are all going to have to choose whether or not we help fight this thing or not.’ Android 18: ‘What makes you so sure this thing even wants to fight, for all you know this thing is friendly.’ Krillin: ‘I hate to say this honey, but I’m afraid Yamcha is right. This thing has a ki with such evil that there is no way it wants anything more then to blow stuff up. So if its okay with you I think I’m going to help destroy it.’ Yamcha: ‘Same with me.’ Tien: ‘I’ll to whatever it takes.’ Chia-tzu: ‘Ahhh… I’m not so sure that my powers would be any good to you on this one. So I guess I’ll have to sit this one out.’ Tien: ‘Don’t fell bad about it. We all understand and won’t think anything less of you for it.’ Chia-tzu: ‘Thanks Tien, you have no idea how much better that makes me feel.’ Master Roshi: ‘This kind of monster won’t be like anything you guys have fought before so remember. If you don’t feel you can give your training 200% then it won’t even be worth the waste of time.’ Tien, Yamcha and Krillin: ‘We’ll do whatever it takes.’ Android 18: ‘Ahem, aren’t you forgetting something.’ Krillin: ‘Oh sorry honey I know I should have made sure before but.’ Android 18 walks up to Krillin and kisses him. Android 18: ‘Have fun and don’t get killed.’ Krillin: ‘Thanks sweetie and I’ll try.’ The three fly off together to train like they have never trained before. Back on the ship… Creature3: ‘She’s awake… She has finally awoken from her sleep.’ These three creatures had seen their master go into deep sleeps many times before and when she awoke she rose with new powers that surpassed her old ones with ease. The beast opened its eyes and looked around. Creatures1, 2 and 3: ‘Greetings mistress Pol-Arice.’ Pol-Arice: ‘Why is it that neither my husband nor my sons are present?’ Creature1 steps forward and prepares himself for the fury of his master Creature1: ‘I am afraid they were all killed by Saiyan warriors.’ Pol-Arice: ‘How did Saiyans defeat my family?’ Creature2: ‘They discovered the secret of the Super Saiyan and used the powers to destroy your family.’ Pol-Arice: ‘Is that so. Hmm… They must have been pretty tough to manage that… In fact they would be the perfect fighters to test out my new powers on… Take me to the planet that these Saiyans are living on.’ Creature3: ‘The course is set for Earth. Approximate time distance 7 light-years. Approximate duration of trip… 3 Earth days.’
