FUSION.... CONFUSION.... AND A WEDDING..... Written by Debs-dragon July 2001
Gohan became Goku and Goku became Gohan. The minds... the bodies... and the powers became one...... Gokhan was born....... Out of the smoke appeared a warrior such as had never been seen before. The hair was the palest of gold, almost white. The eyes were a deep emerald green. The face, was it Goku? or was it Gohan? And yet it wasn't either of them. The body perfectly sculpted, ideally muscular without the bulk. Supreme power, strength and control radiated from every part of him and a soft silver-blue aura surrounding him completed the picture.
"He's magnificent. Maybe now we can defeat Ice." said Piccolo. Gokhan walked slowly towards Ice. "Well" said Ice, "Where did you come from?" "My origins are not important, but my destiny is. I am going to stop you Ice, Here and now." replied Gokhan. He stopped where Vegeta lay. He bent down and picked up the fallen saiyan. He turned and carried Vegeta back to Krillin and Piccolo. "Look after him guys." He said. Gokhan then turned and looked at Ice, He narrowed his eyes, clenched his fists and screamed.... "Prepare to join your cousin Ice!!!" Lightning bolts shot out as his power level rapidly increased. Krillin shielded his eyes, "Lets move away from here." He said to Piccolo, "Good idea." said Piccolo and picked up Vegeta. They flew off and landed on a ridge not far from the battle ground. "Have you got any more of those Sensu beans Krillin?'' "Sure" said Krillin and passed over the bag. Piccolo placed the last one in Vegetas mouth. "I hope he's not too far gone." thought Piccolo. He had certainly taken a beating. His right arm was broken, bruises and welts covered most of his body and blood ran freely from several wounds. That was all outside damage. With his Saiyan pride that wouldn't allow him to give in who knew what damage had been done to the inside. Vegetas ego had already taken a beating of late. Thank goodness He wasn't conscious to see Gokhan finish Ice, that would be the final blow to his already vulnerable ego. Piccolo looked at Vegeta, For all his arrogance & pride He was a great fighter, a true saiyan warrior.
In the mind of Gokhan, 2 warriors watched as Ice reached his ultimate level, then with a roar Gokhan attacked!
"Its incredible!" gasped Krillin, "I can't keep up." Bangs, roars and flashes were all around as the two super forces battled it out. They pulled apart and looked at each other. Ice was bruised and battered but not seriously hurt. Gokhan was bleeding from the mouth but otherwise unhurt. "You will not beat me!!!" roared Ice and shot at Gokhan but Gokhan was no longer there. "Huh? Where the?.." said Ice as Gokhan appeared behind him and knocked him flying. Gokhan raced past Ice and a knee to the midriff sent Ice flying back up into the air. Ice regained control and flipped over, as He did so his finger pointed & He sent several blasts at Gokhan. Gokhan managed to dodge the beams and fired off a couple of his own. "Now this is what I call a battle." said Ice. "It's a shame that a warrior of your calibre has to die though. If you were to join me we could rule the universe." "Dream on Ice......... It will never happen." said Gokhan. "Damn you monkeys!!" screamed Ice and fired off several fireballs in rapid succession. Gokhan dodged them and went after Ice. He got in close enough to sink several punches & kicks, Ice retaliated with a kick to Gokhans stomach which sent him ploughing back through the ground. Immediately Ice was there, He sent ki bolt after ki bolt after Gokhan, blowing up several tons of rock and reducing it all to a heap of rubble with Gokhan buried underneath. "Goku?..... Gohan?......" stammered Krillin. Piccolo looked across, "He's okay Krillin" He said. Ice floated above the scene his sides going in & out like bellows as He struggled to get his breath. His power level was dropping rapidly now, that last blast had taken a lot out of him. At least He had managed to bury that Saiyan. Now for Vegeta and the other two. He turned his head and stared at Krillin. "Err .... Piccolo.. I think we should get out of here now.' He said. "No way." said Piccolo, "Goku & Gohan aren't finished yet!" "They may not be but it looks as if we are about to be." replied Krillin. A rumble came from within the pile of rubble. Beams of silver blue light began to pierce through, then there was a roar and a bang as the rubble flew in all directions and Gokhan reappeared. He stared at Ice. Fire danced in his emerald eyes, "IT'S OVER ICE!!" He screamed and charged.
To Piccolo & Krillin it was like watching a tennis match, only Ice was the ball. Gokhan sent him flying back and forth. The onslaught was relentless. Then Gokhan grabbed Ice by the wrist and ankle and smashed him down hard against his knee, Ice screamed as pain shot through his body & blood came from his mouth, Gokhan took him by the leg and spun him around & around then he let go.... Ice shot off & crashed into the mountain side. Gokhan raised his hands. "We have to finish him now Gohan." said Goku, "We are running out of time, the fusion wont last much longer." "Okay dad, I'm ready." replied Gohan "Right lets give it all we have got then." said Goku.
Ice extracted himself from within the mountain. He ached from head to foot, sharp pain was shooting fromhis spine where Gokhans knee had connected. He wiped the blood from his mouth and looked around. HAME......... the sphere was growing...... HA.............
Ice fired his own energy ball at Gokhan, The two connected. Ice dug deep and dragged up the last of his power & pushed the energy ball at Gokhan. Gokhan screamed with rage and sent everything He had into the wave at Ice. "Its too big....I cant stop it." cried Ice. Gokhan pushed himself to the limit. "Aggghhhhh...." screamed Ice as the wave of energy began to overtake him. Krillin & Piccolo shielded their eyes from the brightness of the blast. Vegeta began to come around, He opened his eyes and saw the energy ball slowly disappearing into the atmosphere. He looked across at Gokhan "Kakarot??... What on earth??" Gokhan hung in the air his ribs heaved from the effort of breathing, the smoke cleared from his hands. He let his arms fall loosely to hang by his sides. The Kamehameha had taken the last of his energy, His head slumped forward and He fell unconscious to the ground. As he hit there was a thump and a flash of blue light. Vegeta blinked and looked again. The body of Gokhan was shimmering in a silver blue haze and then the body began to split into 2 beings, and there lying on the ground was Gohan and Goku. Krillin & Piccolo raced across to where they lay. "Are you two okay?" asked Krillin. "Did it work?" groaned Goku. "It sure did. That Kamehameha was just awesome. It wiped Ice right off the planet." said Krillin. "How's Gohan?" asked Goku as He propped himself up. "He'll be okay." said Piccolo. "He's just exhausted." "Got any sensu beans left Krillin?" said Goku. "No I haven't, sorry. Vegeta had the last one." replied Krillin "Don't worry we will get you fixed up." said Piccolo. "Krillin, you give Goku a hand , I'll carry Gohan, we'll grab Vegeta on the way. Head back to Goku's, I'll meet you there." "Where are you going?" asked Krillin. "I'll make a call at Korins and pick up some more sensu beans, now get going, I'll be as quick as I can." said Piccolo. He bent down and gathered Gohan up in his arms. "Hang in there Gohan." He said softly and blasted off. Krillin put Goku's arm around his shoulder, "Come on Goku, we're going home." Goku struggled to his feet & assisted by Krillin flew to the ridge where Vegeta sat waiting. "Come on Vegeta, we are all going back to Goku's. Piccolo has gone to get some more sensu beans and will meet us there." Vegeta looked up & nodded. He still wasn't feeling 100% and his arm was only partly healed. The 3 battle weary but victorious warriors set off for Goku's home. Sunlight filtered through the curtains, the beams danced across Goku's face awakening him. He yawned & stretched. The clock said 7am. He rolled over to give Chi Chi a hug but the bed was empty. He sat up. The stiffness in his muscles brought him back to reality. Today was Vegetas wedding day and as best man it was his responsibility to make sure that all went well with Vegetas side of things. He stretched again. "Ouch" his ribs still ached from the blows He had taken from Ice. There was a soft knocking at the door, "Dad?... are you awake?" "Come in son." said Goku. Gohan entered and shut the door quietly. He ran over to the bed & launched himself into his fathers arms. "Its great to be home isn't it dad?" "It sure is son." "That was a very brave thing you did yesterday, fusing with me." said Goku. "It felt really weird though." said Gohan. "I don't think I would like to do it on a regular basis."
Gohan charged off to the kitchen. Goku got up and put on his pants then followed Gohan downstairs. Chi Chi had left a heap of food in the fridge and pantry for them. "Better leave some for the others." said Goku as the two of them made short work of the meal in front of them. "I guess we had better go and wake them all up." said Goku. He picked up a cup of coffee and made his way up to the spare bedroom. He knocked on the door & went in. Spread eagled on the bed, his right arm bandaged lay Vegeta. Goku put the coffee down on the table next to the bed. "Vegeta....... Vegeta......, time to wake up." He called. Vegeta grunted, gave a snort & rolled over. His eyes flickered open. "Ow!" he said as he moved his arm. "It's not fully healed yet Vegeta." said Goku. "I can feel that!." said Vegeta . "Here I made you some coffee and Chi Chi's left a huge breakfast for us all." said Goku. "I'm not all that hungry at the moment." replied Vegeta. He took a mouthful of the coffee. The scalding liquid felt good on his throat. "Kakarot?" , "Yes" , "Do you mind if I ask you something?" said Vegeta. "Fire away." replied Goku. "Just what the hell was it you & Gohan did out there?!" "Ahhh just a little party trick I picked up on my travels home from Yardrat." said Goku, "now hurry up & come and get some breakfast before its all gone. There's 5 of us to get ready and if I get you to the church late then Bulma will go off her tree at me, personally I'd rather face Ice than Bulma." laughed Goku. "Ouch! that hurts the ribs...." and he turned and left the room. Vegeta let his thoughts wander as He finished off his coffee. Once again Kakarot had surpassed him, it wasn't right that the son of a lowly warrior should be stronger than He the son of a king! "One day Kakarot, one day I shall be superior to you and then you will bow down before your prince.". He put the cup down and picked up the bathrobe & put it on. His arm was still extremely painful to move. He went to the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror, most of the wounds had healed. As much as he hated taking the sensu beans he had to admit that they certainly helped to restore energy and health. "Come on Vegeta, you have plenty of time to make yourself handsome later, if you don't get down here now you will miss out on breakfast. Goku's already had his and is eyeing yours off as well." yelled Krillin. "I'll be there in a minute!" yelled Vegeta. He closed his eyes and sighed then left the bathroom and went down for breakfast. "So how are you feeling Vegeta?" asked Gohan "How do you think I feel kid!!" snapped Vegeta. "You'll be fine once you have something to eat." said Piccolo. Vegeta took a piece of toast and made himself another cup of coffee. Goku appeared in the doorway. "I'm going for my shower." He said. & padded off to the bathroom.
"But dad why do I have to wear a tie?" said Gohan. "We all have to now hold still while I finish doing it up. There.... now go and wait in the lounge room and try to stay clean!" Krillin looked at his watch, "You had better go & get Vegeta or we wont get there in time." He said. "Right, wont be a moment then." & Goku went back up the stairs to the spare bedroom. The door stood slightly ajar, Goku could see Vegeta standing with his hands in his pockets staring out of the window. "Vegeta..." called Goku, "It's time to go." Vegeta continued to stare, Goku walked up beside him and put his hand on Vegetas shoulder. Vegeta turned and looked at Goku. "Tell me Kakarot....... I have fought and beaten some of the strongest forces in the universe, I have been so badly hurt that I haven't known who or what I am, yet I have always known where I am going. So why then am I so hesitant about getting married!!??" "Hey man, your not alone there!" laughed Goku. "We all wonder if we are doing what's right when we get married. It's natural to be hesitant, it's because it's uncharted territory, you have no idea what's going to happen next, it's totally unpredictable. But I'll let you into a secret, Its a lot of fun finding out!!" "Thanks, you have been a great help as always!" scowled Vegeta. "Come on, lighten up Vegeta, who knows what's going to happen, just go along with it, let your feelings guide you and enjoy the ride. Now lets get going." They both turned and left the room. "Look there's the church down there." called Gohan. They all flew around to the back and landed in the cemetery. "Okay, just a quick tidy up for everyone." said Krillin. Piccolo scowled, "Come on, lets go inside." He said. Gohan, Krillin & Piccolo went inside the church. Goku & Vegeta went through the side door and met thepriest.
Bulma was approaching. She looked lovely in a soft white satin & lace gown.. For a brief moment Goku saw Vegetas body relax and his eyes soften as he watched Bulma approaching, but before anyone could see his vulnerability he quickly regained his composure. Bulma stood next to Vegeta, she looked across and gave Goku a wink. She took Vegetas hand and gave it a squeeze. "Lucky for Goku that you turned up!" she whispered. Vegeta turned and glared. "I would have been here anyway, I didn't need Kakarot to bring me." He replied.
Dearly beloved we are gathered here today..... His voice droned on, Gohan began to fidget in his seat, his collar was rubbing the back of his neck & the tie was too tight. Piccolo gave him a sympathetic look, Krillin smiled. Goku let his mind wander....... "Honour & obey!!! no way!!..... who said anything about obey!!!" boomed Vegeta. Goku came back to earth with a jolt. "I'm not obeying any woman." yelled Vegeta, "No one told me that that is part of it, forget it, I wont obey..." "Here we go again" thought Goku and he tried to pacify Vegeta............ ~ FIN ~
