"Dreams Can Come True "Written By: Debs-dragon Adroid Arc Series #5 Disclaimer: Don't own, don't sue. Matty belongs to himself, the story is mine. This is the 5th in the Android arc and the story line now goes AU (alternate universe). I wrote this for Matty as he is an ardent 18 fan and a good mate. :)
Chapter 3 Matty waited nervously out the front of the restaurant. He didn't see her land in the shadows. She stepped forward. He caught the movement out of the corner of his eye and turned. He swallowed hard. She looked stunning. She wore a simple pale blue shirt with a midnight blue mini skirt. A matching jacket was slung over her arm and around her neck was the simple blue stoned necklace. She walked up to him. "Ready to eat?" she asked. Matty found his voice. "Errr... yes, lets go shall we?" He offered her his arm and escorted her inside. They made idle chatter during the meal. The wine made Matty relax and also loosened Juuhachigou's tongue a little. Matty learnt that she had had a pretty rough few years but she wouldn't elaborate on them. She had also lost her twin brother which made her very sad. Matty listened sympathetically then reached forward impulsively & put his hand over hers. "After what you have been through it can only get better." he said. She looked at him "I hope so." she whispered "I really hope so." "Look lets not get sad. How about we go see that movie now?" she smiled. Matty paid the bill and escorted her from the restaurant. "We can take my car or we can walk." he said. "Lets walk." she replied. When they got to the cinema Matty collected the tickets
and they went in. They sat in the back row & waited for the movie
to start. Within minutes the lights went down, the music sprang up
and the movie began. She was completely lost in the movie. Matty took the opportunity to study her profile. From her blond hair her slightly up turned nose, gorgeous blue eyes to her perfect mouth. Matty snuck his arm around her shoulders. She didn't object so he left it there. She moved slightly closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. He tightened his arm around her drawing her closer to him. He could smell her perfume, the nearness of her and the fact that she hadn't rejected his advances made her pulse race. He had deliberately chosen a romantic movie and was glad he had. He looked down at her face. The movie had reached its sad part where the guy has to leave and the girl is all heart broken. Just what the girls saw in these sorts of movies was beyond him but it certainly worked in his favour. She was really involved in the plot and Matty noticed a tear slide down her cheek. He reached forward and wiped it away. She looked up at him as if aware for the first time of his presence. Her eyes looked so sad. "Don't cry." he said softly. "Its this movie." she replied. "It will all work out in the end. Trust me." he said. She smiled. "Thats better." She turned back to the movie. Matty kept his arm around her and tried to concentrate on the movie but an ache, a desire, a longing kept coursing through his veins. The movie came to an end and as the credits rolled so people began to leave. Juuhachigou sat up & stretched. She looked at Matty. "That was a great movie, I really enjoyed it." "See I told you it would all work out in the end." he said. He brought his face close to hers, he was about to kiss her when the lights came on. "Damn!" he thought. He noticed a smile on her lips. "What's so funny?" he asked. "You are." she replied. "Why is that?" he asked. "Everytime you seem to get up enough courage to do something, something happens to stop you." she laughed. She had such a lovely laugh. Matty smiled, "How true." he said ruefully. She reached forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Lets get going. I think they are waiting to clean up." she said. They left the cinema. Matty decided to temp fate once more and put his arm around her shoulders. She moved closer and slid her arm around his waist. As they walked they discussed the movie. They reached Matty's car. "So, would you like me to take you home or would you like to go for a drive?" he asked. "Lets drive." she replied and jumped in his car. Matty drove to a special spot up in the hills overlooking the city. He parked so that they could see the lights below. They got out and leaning against the bonnet admired the view. Matty looked across the horizon and asked the question that had been on his mind all night. "So just what is the deal with you and the little guy?" She took a moment before replying. "Krillin is a really nice guy." she chose her words carefully. "After a particularly rough patch in my life I found myself with nothing. No one wanted to know me and my brother was dead. I didn't know what to do with my life. Then Krillin stepped in. He gave me a home, took care of me and really helped me through a very emotional time. I owe him a lot." she looked out across the landscape. Matty reached forward and brushed a strand of hair from her face. She turned and looked at him. He could see the confusion in her eyes. "You dont have to say anymore." He said softly. She continued anyway. "He's really a very sweet guy but I dont care for him in the way he would like me to. I now know that I can only care for him as a dear friend." she looked at Matty. "Does that make any sense to you?" she asked. Matty stared at her, their eyes locked. He moved towards her and gently took her in his arms. "It makes perfect sense." he said and softly kissed her. She gazed at him. "When I first saw you in the store I thought I had died and gone to heaven, but when I saw that guy with you I wasn't so sure that I stood a chance." admitted Matty. "Answer me this..... Why did you come back the next day?" She looked away. "I had these weird feelings when I saw you. I have never felt anything like it before . I thought that the way I felt for Krillin was love but then I felt this. I wasn't sure about anything anymore so I had to come back & see you to try to sort out what I was feeling." she replied. "And have you?" he asked, his eyes searched her face hopefully. She smiled, "Oh yes I have." Her lips found
his and she kissed him passionately. She reached up and wrapping her
arms around Mattys neck she whispered in his ear, "This time
I know its love."
