Arcatica was destroyed by King Vegeta. Years later the planet sends its finest warrior to destroy King Vegeta, but the warrior falls in love with one of the enemies.

CHAPTER 10: THE FLOTILLA ARRIVES, ARIANNA IS BRANDED A TRAITOR

"Sir, we're in orbit," a tall Arcaticain male said, turning around to
face Iterias. The entire Flotilla had just jumped out of warp, and had
obtained a high orbit around Earth. "The rest of the ship captains are
reporting in sir."
"Thank you," Iterias murmured, looking out of the veiwscreen at the
slowly turning blue and green ball. "So much different than Arcatica," he
whispered. He threw his mind out, trying to sense Arianna. She?s down there
somewhere, I just know it? He thought to himself. He just couldn?t feel her
presence from this distance.
"I'll be in my ready-room," Iterias said, getting up from the command
chair and walking towards a door off to the left of the bridge. He paused to
turn around and look at his Lieutenant. "If you hear from either Arianna or
Pinath, tell me immediately. Transfer all the communications from the
captains to my ready-room."
The Lieutenant barely nodded his head in acknowledgment.
Iterias walked into his ready-room, a light on his communication console
blinking intermittently. He pushed a button and watched as one of the
several dozen captains faces appeared on the screen. "Captain Midrorf?"
Iterias asked, inclining his head to his subordinate. "I trust your trip was
uneventful?"
The captain nodded his slightly balding head. "Nothing major to report
sir," he said, his voice gruff, like wood over sand paper.
"Nothing major, Captain?" Iterias asked, looking the man's image
straight in the eyes. "Did something than happen?"
"We lost impulse power for a few parsecs, and our warp-field generator
went off line." The captain said, his gaze wavering, unable to look his
commanding officer in the face.
"Anything else to report?"
"No sir!"
"Good, I expect you over here in the next hour or so. I'll be holding a
meeting, hopefully we'll have heard from Arianna and Pinath by then." The
captain nodded his head as Iterias broke the signal, there would be others
reporting in shortly. He was not looking forward to the upcoming reports.
Something just wasn't right, he could feel it in his gut.
The com board beeped again and Iterias glanced warily at it. Who now? He
wondered. "Iterias here," he said, hitting the signal button. The captain
of the 'Spiral Wave' appeared on the view screen. Her light blond hair
flaming in the artificial light of the star ship. Iterias glanced at her
frail beauty, knowing she was anything but frail.
"Captain Moruquis?" He asked.
She smiled at him, "Hello Iterias," she said pleasantly. "I trust your
trip was ok?" she asked.
Iterias' eyes narrowed, "I'll ask the questions Captain Moruquis." Her
eyes fell to the floor, refusing to meet his gaze. That's better, he
thought. "Now, please report."
Her eyes still did not meet his, "Nothing to report sir, our trip was
strictly routine. Everything went according to plan."
"Good, there will be a meeting aboard the 'Onslaught' in about an hour.
Be prepared and please pass the word along, I don?t want anyone late this
time!"
"Yes sir!" she quickly saluted and signed off.
The rest of the hour went that way, messages be relaying, captains
reporting in on troubles and other reportable things. The hour was almost up
and Iterias was preparing for the meeting, when the comm unit beeped. All
the captains had reported in, so who is it this time, Iterias wondered. He
pushed the comm button and Pinath's face appeared on the screen. Iterias
glanced at him, then into the background behind him. Arianna was no where to
be seen.
It was almost as if Pinath had known what was going through Iterias?
mind, "No, she's not here with me," he said, referring to Arianna. "She's
with King Vegeta's grandson." Pinath literally spat the information out.
"And I literally mean 'with'," Pinath said, his voice cold.
"What are you saying?" Iterias asked, surely he didn't mean? No, not
Arianna, no one hated the Saiyan's more that she did.
"She's mated with him," Pinath said, glaring right at Iterias.
"No, Arianna wouldn't do such a thing! By the Great Cat, he's the
enemy, you don't sleep with the enemy!" He refused to believe such lies
about his sister. He needed to hear it from her first. Only then would he
believe it, he only hoped it wasn't? true. "We'll be landing with in the
hour," He informed Pinath. "The planet fall will be far north of the city.
Meet us there within the hour. Do not be late Pinath."
"Yes sir," Pinath said, ending the connection.
Iterias still stared at the screen, Pinath's words refusing to sink in.
Surely it couldn't be true. Arianna would not mate willingly with the
enemy. She just wouldn't, would she?
Oh, he hoped not, for her sake, he hoped not.

Arianna sighed, what was she supposed to do? She knew the Flotilla had
finally arrived, she could feel her brothers' presences on Earth. They would
start looking for her very soon. What would she tell them about Trunks?
What would she tell them about the new life she carried within her?
Part Arcaticain and Part Saiyan and Human, what a mix.
The child would be reviled, made fun of just because it had Saiyan blood.
Non of her people would look at the child and just see an ordinary child,
they would see a monster. She would not have her baby growing up in that
kind of misery. She wanted so much more for her unborn child. She wanted
Trunks. She couldn't have him though, not now.
She put her hand lovingly to her still flat stomach, it would still be a
few months until she started to show, would this child ever know it's father?
Would it ever know any part of it's family, surely she wouldn't be all the
family it would ever have! She wouldn?t allow that to happen.
She sighed again, heavily and got to her feet. She would go and find her
brothers first, instead of them coming for her. It was the least she could
do, now.

The ships landed in a tight formation, creating a maze of machinery. A
force field created a protective wall around the main body of ships.
Iterias' command ship sat in the middle of the cluster, like a king
upon it?s throne, overlooking the rest of the ships. Iterias now stood on
the outskirts of the defense perimeter. Behind him the defensive shield
shimmered into existence. An Arcaticain could walk straight through the
shield, anything else would get zapped with kilowatts of raw energy.
A shadow lurked just beyond his line of sight, with in the hidden
darkness of the forest. Pinath emerged, walking silently towards his
commanding officer. "Have you heard from her?" Pinath asked once he got
within hearing distance of Iterias.
"No, but she's near, I can feel her. She's coming to us, and something
is bothering her greatly." Iterias said, closing his eyes in concentration.
Pinath growled low in his throat, "I can tell you what's bothering her,
she's finally starting to feel guilty that she slept with him. That she
mated with someone other than me!" He fairly roared.
"No, something is bothering her, and it has nothing to do with you, but
everything to do with King Vegeta's grandson." he shook his head, no, she
just couldn't have mated with him, it is not possible!
Yes, the thought entered his mind. NO, he screamed back at it. I will
not believe such lies about you!
They are not lies Iterias, her voice came softly in his head. I have
something important I have to tell you, and please don't get mad at me.
Iterias clapped his hands against his ears, trying to block her words
from his mind. It did him no good. I will talk to you when I get there.
I?m not far off now. Her voice still rang through his head.
Iterias looked up towards the sky, What on Arcatica was going on here,
what was happening to his family. It was unraveling and coming apart at the
seams. He could see the fabric fraying and the seams ripping apart.
This just couldn't be happening, not to his family. They were the Lords
and Ladies of Arcatica, the ruling family, they did not mate outside of their
kind! What in hell was going on, on this water-logged planet?!

She could sense him reaching for her, his mind lightly caressing hers.
I?m near, she thought at him. I have something important to tell you. She
heard his scream, the mental anguish and the disbelief. Yes, she said. He
screamed NO! They are not lies Iterias, she thought, I have something
important to tell you, please don't be mad at me.
He closed his mind to her, not wanting to hear anymore. I?m almost
there, she thought, I'm not far off now.
Welcome sister, came another voice.
Kuilian? She asked.
Yes, came the reply. I believe what they've been saying. I saw it was
going to happen. Your path after that is dark and covered in shadows. I
can't see what your future holds, but I know it's not good. Please Arianna,
turn back, go back to him and stay away from the camp. I see trouble, and
pain.
I can't Kuilian, I need to talk to Iterias, make him understand, she
thought at her younger brother. Kuilian was gifted with the power of
foresight, and could see things that may come to pass, he was usually pretty
accurate on his premonitions. Arianna just hoped that this one time he would
be wrong. When he was older, he would become on of the Mystics, a great
honor. She could not back to Trunks anyway, he wouldn't take her back. Not
now, she sadly thought.
It will be dangerous Arianna, Kuilian thought at her, I wish you would
listen to me, I see only pain if you come to the camp.
I must come, she thought back. I have news that may change things.
I don't see that happening, he said. I see only pain for you. Go back!
No, I will talk of it no longer. I will be there shortly. Her paws
covered the ground in strong smooth strides, eating up the ground. She would
tell them about the relationship she had shared with Trunks and the child
they had created together. If she got punished for it, which she knew she
would, so be it, that would be the will of the Great Cat. Who was she to
dispute the Great Cat anyway? She did not regret anything that happened, and
most of all she did not regret her child. She would love it just as much as
she had loved it's father, if not more.
She could see the camp up ahead, the gently shimmering force field that
protected the camp from outsiders. The moment of truth had come.

They were standing there, waiting for her as she stepped cautiously
through the barrier, unsure if the shimmering field would hurt her unborn
child or not. It did nothing and so she stepped through. Iterias was
standing there, cautiously watching her. Kuilian stood slightly behind him
and off to his left. He wore a look of great sadness. Hiurian stood next to
Kuilian, his arms crossed in front of his chest, he glared daggers at his
sister.
She rose to her hind legs, changing back into her humanoid form. Iterias
rushed up to her and embraced her, the tears threatening to spill down over
his cheek. "Please," he whispered so only she could hear, "Tell me it isn't
true!"
She gently pushed him back and looked over to Kuilian and Hiurian.
Kuilian rushed up to her and wrapped her in a fierce hug. "I wish you
would've listened," he chided.
"I know," she said, kissing him lightly on the cheek.
"Hiurian?" she questioned, looking at him pleadingly.
He turned his back on her and walked away. Arianna watched his
retreating back, a single tear slipped down her cheek. I love you, she sent
silently out to him.
He stopped in mid-stride and turned around to look at her, his eyes were
troubled. I don?t know what to say Arianna, he thought, I can feel that
child growing in you! I know it's part Saiyan, and that sickens me, but it
is part of my family so I don?t know how to feel or what to say. He head
his head in defeat and slowly walked up to her and embraced her in a fierce
hug. "I love you too," he said loudly, kissing her on the cheek. "And
everything that is a part of you!"
She new what he meant if no one else did.
"Arianna," Pinath said, walking up to her. She turned her head to face
him. He looked her over, his gaze lingering on her stomach, as if he was
trying to reach inside her and see what was going on in there.
"Tell everyone about what has been going on with you and King Vegeta's
grandson. Tell them about how you broke your vows to me and slept with him."
His face appeared frozen in ice. "Do you remember that Arcaticain's mate
for life. Did you tell him that?"
Arianna's face fell. "He did not know what I was when we first mated,"
she siad quietly.
"It is true then?" Iterias asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes," Arianna answered.
Shouts erupted from the gathered crowd. "Traitor!" Someone shouted from
near Iterias. "Whore!" Someone else shouted. "Backstabber!" The names kept
coming, and the sea of angry Arcaticians called for Arianna's blood, her life.
"Wait!" Arianna shouted. The crowded grew silent, waiting to hear what
the traitor had to say. "I know Arcaticain laws. I know you have called for
my life and that it is forfeit. But I carry a child now and that child's
life is not forfeit. You can not take my life until I give birth." she
turned her gaze to Iterias and the shocked look on his face. "I only ask,
that after the child is born, if no one will take it and raise it as their
own, that it is taken to it's father."
The crowd erupted into another fit of shouting and name calling. They
advanced towards her, calling for her life and the life of the child she
carried inside of her. Her eyes sought out her brothers, but they were no
where to be seen within the angry crowd. The crowd advanced, their eyes icy
with hate, their hands reaching for her, ready to rip her heart out and stomp
on it.
