Arcatica was destroyed by King Vegeta. Years later
the planet sends its finest warrior to destroy King Vegeta, but the
warrior falls in love with one of the enemies.
CHAPTER 3: VEGETA'S WARNED AND ARIANNA DREAMS
"You're sure," Vegeta snarled. "She said she was an
Arcaticain. Your
absolutely, positively sure?"
Trunks looked at his father, at his mother standing next to his father,
her hand gently lying upon his forearm. "Yes," he said,
calling up his
memories of what the cat had said. "She said she was an Arcaticain.
That
she had come here for revenge upon your father."
"Your Grandfather boy!" Vegeta snarled. "Don't forget
that."
Trunks flinched, his eyes going down to the floor. "Yes father,"
he said
meekly. "She said she was here for revenge. That she would kill
us all to
get that revenge."
Vegeta clenched his fists, "Let her try," he said, holding
his left hand
clenched, up if front of his face. "Just let her try and come
after me. I
remember what my father had told me about her race of-" he paused
looking at
his eighteen year old son. "You said she was a huge cat. Like
Earth's
Panther or cougar?" he asked.
Trunks nodded his head yes.
Vegeta shook his head, "That can't be right," he murmured
to himself.
"My Father had told me they were humanoids with tails like ours.
Their eyes
were almond or doe-shaped. They were tanned skinned because of their
planet's climate. They had pointed ears, like the elves of Earth's
legends.
But he never said anything about them being cats. She had to be lying
or
there was more to these Arcaticains than my father knew." Vegeta
paused,
pacing back and forth; he stopped and looked his son right in his
bright blue
eyes. "You're positive she said she was an Arcaticain, maybe
not something
else?"
Trunks shook his head. "No, she said she was an Arcaticain. I'm
sure of
that, if nothing else."

Arianna stood in the early morning light of a new Earth day, the sun
was
just starting to rise, and she watched mesmerized as the sun made
it's lonely
appearance. This will still take some getting used to, she thought
to
herself. Strange to see only one sun rise in the morning. It's still
brilliant though. She walked away from her spacecraft, over to the
near by
creek, she would wash up than travel into the strange groupings these
Earth
creatures called towns. She would find Trunks and the rest of his
family and
kill them. Kabastra would have his revenge. So would her tail, she
still
couldn't believe they had chopped off her beautiful tail.
Something strange tickled the back of her mind, like a mind contact
from
another Arcaticain. She shrugged it off, figuring it to be one of
Earth's
cats, some of them had extremely powerful minds. If she had been one
of
Arcatica's researchers, she would have been inclined to discover if
there was
a link between these Earth cats and her own home planet. A researcher
she
was not, a warrior she was.
She stopped at the creek, throwing her mind out, seeking to find if
there
were any other intelligent beings about before she bathed. She detected
none
and removed the tunic that was her only piece of clothing. Arcaticain
warriors did not believe in a lot of cloths, they believed they hampered
ones
movements in battle. A simple tunic offered protection and was loose
enough
as not to disrupt the warrior's movements in battle.
The pale sandy-yellow tunic fell at her feet, she slowly walked forward,
into the swiftly moving stream. It was a lot deeper than it appeared,
and
came up to her waste. She dove underneath the surface and swam for
a short
distance, breaking the surface in a brilliant wake, the water coursing
down
her body, catching reflections from the sun and refracting them in
a
beautiful rainbow effect. Her slightly tanned skin sparkled like an
enchanting jewel or some other rare gem. Arianna shook the water from
her
hair, walked over to where her tunic lay, grabbed a small green bottle
from
somewhere within the folds of the fabric and walked back into the
creek. She
poured a small amount of the bottle's contents into her hair, scrubbed
violently, and within seconds, purplish suds had appeared in her dark
brown
hair. She ducked her head beneath the icy-cool surface of the creek,
washed
the 'shampoo' from her hair, than applied a small amount to her body
and
washed her body off.
She again walked out of the creek, returned the bottle to her garment,
laid down on the soft mossy creek bank, and fell asleep. The young
Arcaticain's dreams were haunted by an unknown little child that held
her
pudgy little arms out to Arianna.

************
My child, It was her mother's voice, Arianna heard talking to her,
You're in danger there, come home, now, before it's to late. Come
home
now!
Arianna glanced around, "Mother?!" She yelled, glancing
wildly around,
"Where are you? I don't see you mother, where are you?"
The landscape
around her took shape, it was Earth, but yet it wasn't. The forests
were to
dark, menacingly dark, like some unknown terrible evil was hiding
in there.
The sky was dark, there was no sun or moon, or stars for that matter.
Arianna stood in a meadow, out skirted by the forests. She could barely
make out what the Humans called a fence running parallel with the
boarders of
the meadow and woods. Dark shapes moved within the woods, bright glowing
eyes stared out at her, evil laughter gurgled out from forests on
the silent
winds.
A shiver moved up Arianna's back. "Mother!" She yelled again.
"Mother,
where are you?"
Arianna, you're in danger there, please come home. Her mother called
again. Beware, Arianna, Beware!!Beware!!Beware!!the voice faded off
into
the distance.
Arianna wildly spun around, trying to find the source of the voice.
"Mother!" She called. "Mother, please, I don't understand.
What danger?"
If you don't come back now, you will never come back. The voice
answered. Please my daughter, come home now. Pinath is ready to marry
now,
he wants you to come home. Please Arianna, come home, before it's
too late.
Please???????. The voice echoed off in the distance.
Arianna glanced around, she couldn't get over the feeling she wasn't
alone, like someone was watching her. The evil red eyes still stared
out at
her from the depths of the forests, but it was something else, something
or
someone near by. Suddenly, something yanked at her tunic. Arianna
jumped,
spinning around. At her feet, sat a little girl, only about one or
two years
old. A long tail snaked out from behind her, silky lavender in color,
with
just a tinge of reddish-brown mixed in. Bright blue eyes stared up
at her,
blinking shyly. The little girl smiled.
Arianna glanced around, "Where is your mother?" She asked
the strange
child. The only answer the child gave was to raise her hands up to
Arianna.
Arianna breathed out a shaky sigh, "Oh dear," she said under
her breathe.
"I am not your mother, child." She looked around, hoping
to catch sight of
someone, anyone near by. There was no one to be seen. She picked the
little
girl up, holding her gently.
Before it's too late???carried on the wind, coming gently to Arianna's
ears once more. "Before what is to late Mother?! I don't understand!"
Arianna screamed into the thin air. The little girl reached up with
pudgy
hands and pulled at Arianna's long hair. The child giggled, wrapping
Arianna's hair around her little fingers.
Arianna looked down at the little girl and smiled. She smiled in turn
up
at Arianna. "So, where is your mama little one?" Arianna
asked, gently
squeezing the little girl.
The little girl giggled again, flailing her little hands around. "Mama"
She said, "Mama." She grabbed hold of Arianna's tunic, looking
up at Arianna
with those giant blue eyes.
"No," Arianna said, "I'm not your mama."
"Mama!" The little girl said again.
"No," Arianna said, again. "I am not your mother."
Arianna glanced
around, this was becoming a very strange dream. Who is this child
and why
does she keep insisting that I am her mother?
The wind picked up briefly and the little girl began to wiggle. She
started to utter high pitched squeals, reaching her pudgy little hands
out.
Two shapes eerily appeared, shrouded in heavy gray mists. Arianna
couldn't
make out distinctly who or what they were, except that they were humanoid.
One of the specters reached their arms out towards the little girl,
the
little girl in turn squirmed in Arianna's arms, trying to get down.
Leave now Arianna, Arianna heard her mother's voice again, Leave before
it's to late, before you won?t be able to leave. Please my child,
come home
to those who love you the most. Come home to us Arianna, Come
hoooooommmmmmmeeeeeeee.......... The voice carried eerily on the gentle
winds.
Another voice carried gently on the breeze, Come here little Tanis,
come
to Daddy and Mommy.
The little girl squirmed even harder to get out of Arianna's grip.
"Mommy!"
The little girl squealed delightedly. Arianna watched as the specters
materialized a little more. They were silhouetted now, she could make
them
out know, but there were no definite detail. One was an Arcaticain,
the
other looked human, maybe human and Saiyan. Arianna's eyes narrowed,
If
these are the child's parents, how could an Arcaticain mate with a
Saiyan,
even a half-breed? Arianna asked herself.
The woman, Arianna noticed with dismay, looked disconcertingly a lot
like
she herself did. Could she possibly be the child's mother after all?
Who was
the male then? Arianna looked again down at the child in her arms,
and her
eyes widened in surprise at what was staring back up at her. The little
girl
looked remarkably a lot like Trunks did.
No, she swore under her breath, No it just isn't possible. I wouldn't
mate with him, he's the ultimate enemy. His grandfather killed my
grandfather. I could never love him, could I? No! She silently screamed
to
herself.
But Arianna remembered a legend about a time long ago. Once, long
before
her time, or even before the eldest living Arcaticain's, there were
half-breed Arcaticain's on Arcatica. Arcaticain's had mated outside
of
their own. She would not follow in their footsteps, she would not
love an
outsider! Would she?
Yes, you could, a voice echoed around her. It's not his fault, or
his
father's, that I'm dead Arianna. You can't hold him responsible for
what
happened to me. The Great Arcaticain Cat wanted me with her, and so
she took
me. I would have died one way or another, she just gave me a warrior's
death, that's all. Please, my grandchild, try to make the rest of
our family
understand. You can not hold the remaining Saiyan's responsible for
King
Vegeta's actions. Your destiny here is not revenge, Arianna. You were
brought her for an entirely different reason.
"What reason?" Arianna asked, the little girl clambered
from her arms
and ran over to the two apparitions. The woman bent down and scooped
the
little child up, the man put an arm around her and the child and gently
kissed the mother on the cheek. The little girl reached up and tugged
on a
piece of the man's clothing, presumably a tie or something similar.
You'll understand, Arianna, you will understand in time. Just wait.
You
were brought here to play a completely different role in Arcaticain
history,
and once you understand why, you won't want to leave this planet.
"If you know anything about me at all, you'd know nothing could
hold me
to this planet. Not a thing!" Arianna screamed.
We'll see, she heard her grandfather laugh, fading into nothingness.
Arianna woke, her breath come spasmodically. Her naked body was covered
in sweat. "What the hell," she swore, "was that?"
She asked, shaking her
head, confused. "It had to be just a dream, more like a nightmare."
