Arcatica was destroyed by King Vegeta. Years later
the planet sends its finest warrior to destroy King Vegeta, but the
warrior falls in love with one of the enemies.
CHAPTER 4: PINATH ARRIVES ON EARTH, BRA IS ATTACKED
Lord Kabastrie stared up into the starlit night sky, his wife of nearly
twenty-five years stood next to him. "Kabastrie, my love, what
is bothering
you this night?" She asked, laying a hand gently on his sun-bronzed
arm.
"Sunreet, it is our daughter I'm worried about. I can't shake
the
feeling that somehow she's in serious trouble on that water-filled
world."
Kabastrie said, shaking his head slowly. "I can't get over this
feeling that
if she doesn't come home soon, she won't be coming home at all."
"Do you think King Vegeta's descendents will defeat her?"
Sunreet asked,
her large, light greenish-blue eyes wide in alarm.
"No, nothing like that. It feels like she won't want to come
home. I
think she's going to choose to stay there." Kabastrie shook his
head, trying
to clear it. "Something is going to happen to keep her there.
I just don?t
know what. I don?t know if it'll be dangerous or not."
"Maybe you should ask one of the Mystics, maybe they can give
you a
little insight into what you're feeling." Sunreet said, shaking
her head,
her long dark red hair swaying gently with the movement. "I couldn't
imagine
her wanting to stay there. Her family is here, Pinath is here, and
she did
so want to marry once she returned from her mission. I couldn't imagine
anything changing that."
Kabastrie shook his head and ran a hand through his short-cropped
brown
hair. His lips turned down in a frown. "I can't help feeling
that something
is going to change, something is going to seriously change the way
we
Arcaticains view the worlds around us. And, it will have something
to do
with one of King Vegeta's descendents." He swore silently underneath
his
breath. "Damn, Sunreet, I just wish I knew what was going to
happen on that
little blue and green world. I'm thinking," he paused, "that
maybe I should
send Pinath ahead of the Flotilla. If something's going to happen,
I want
someone there that I can trust with my only daughter. And who better
than
her intended?" Kabastrie asked, looking down at his wife.
The starlight glittered off her deep red hair, creating a glowing
red
halo around her head. Kabastrie smiled at her. Sunreet was different
than
most Arcaticains, she was pale skinned instead of golden-skinned like
all
Arcaticains were. Though red hair did run through some of the Arcaticain
lines, non-was as red as his wife's hair. Most Arcaticain's had dark
hair
or very light hair.
Iterias, the eldest, was very much like his father, his hair was dark
brown, and his eyes were very dark blue, almost appearing black. His
skin
was very tanned and he was powerfully built just like his father.
Arianna, the second born, was a blending of her parents, but she took
after
the Starsault line more than the Paegeons, her mother's line. Arianna
was
slim and graceful, her hair was long, dark brown with just barely
visible red
highlights. Her eyes were large, almond shaped, and were a bright
blue
surrounding an emerald green. Her skin had a beautiful golden glow
to it.
Hiurian, the third born, was tall and strong. His hair was dark brown,
almost black. His eyes were the same as Arianna's, a light blue circling
an
emerald green. His eyes, though, were more doe-shaped than almond
shaped.
He was darkly tanned, like he'd spent many ours out in the suns of
Arcatica.
Kuilian, the last-born child, was different than the rest. His hair
was
light brown, like a very dark blond. His eyes were light blue, almost
ice
blue, and his skin was barely tanned, almost white like his mother's.
He was
an albino amongst the Arcaticains, on Earth he could've passed for
an
Earthling more than either one of any of his siblings. Even Arianna.
Sunreet gazed at her husband, "If you think that is best, then
by all
means, send Pinath ahead of the Flotilla. It may do Arianna good to
have one
of her own people on that dreadful planet with her." Sunreet
said, motioning
to one of the guards that stood at a respectful distance near one
of the
doorways into the palace. The guard snapped to attention and strode
briskly
over to the Lord and Lady.
"Yes, Lord Kabastrie and Lady Sunreet?" The guard spoke
quickly. "What
is it you wish?"
Kabastrie turned to look at the guard. He was young, maybe only a
few
years older than what Arianna was. His hair could not be seen underneath
his
helmet, but his dark silver eyes stood out in his sun-bronzed face.
He was
heavy, not from fat though, he was made of pure muscles, which was
evident
from his bulging biceps that stood out in his arms. Kabastrie returned
his
gaze back up to the star-studded sky, "Go and find General Pinath,
tell him
I would like to speak with him at his earliest convenience."
He said, his
gaze still glued to the night sky.
The guard bowed his head, and as he was turning away said, "As
you wish
your Lordship."
The young guard promptly disappeared through one of the doors leading
into the palace.

Pinath turned as he heard the resounding knock in his private quarters.
He glanced at the clock on his nightstand. It read 11:43 in the evening.
He
glanced at the picture of both Arianna and he at Iterias coronation,
sitting
beside his clock. That was the night he had asked her to marry him.
Her
father was very happy with the notion of Arianna marrying him, after
all, he
came from a very prestigious family himself. The Astarians.
Pinath strode quickly over to the door. "This had better-"
he started
saying crossly as he opened the door to find one of the Royal Guardsmen
standing out there. "What can I do for you?" He asked politely.
A message
from Lord Kabastrie no doubt, Pinath thought to himself.
"His Lordship wishes to see you as soon as is possible."
The guard said,
wasting no time.
Pinath nodded his head. "I'm on my way," he said, closing
the door
behind him and stepping out around the guard. "Where is he at?"
"Out on the balcony." The guard replied.
Pinath nodded his head quickly again, and followed the guard down
the
hallway.

Pinath watched as the small blue and green planet spun lazily around
in
the middle of his view screen. He shook his head, wondering how anything
could survive on such a miserable planet. The temperature variated
too much,
the weather patterns were extremely strange, consisting of more than
just
rain. He picked up a data pad, touched the screen quickly, tapped
it again
and looked up confusedly at the strange little planet. He shook his
head in
amazement. "It's a wonder these pitiful Earthlings have survived
as long as
they have." He said to no one in particular, since he was the
only one on
the spacecraft to begin with.
He glanced down at the Chronometer, the Flotilla was still a few months
travel away from the planet Earth. He had plans, plans for what he
was going
to do with Arianna, he planned on sampling her long before they were
married,
he'd had quite a few chasten kisses from her that had left him longing
for
more. Since there were no other Arcaticains within the system, no
one could
tell him he couldn't, besides they were scheduled to be married in
about
year's time anyhow. No one would care, and her father certainly wont
find
out. Arianna would keep her pretty mouth shut, he would make certain
of that!
His tiny spacecraft cut through the Earth's atmosphere choppily, bouncing
around like an Arcaticain child's play toy. He ground his teeth, fighting
for control of the small craft. Swearing softly under his breath,
he brought
the craft down with a soft sigh just outside of the small town the
Mystics
were saying that King Vegeta's relatives lived in.
He landed on the outskirts of a meadow, in the middle of the clearing
stood one of the Earthlings primitive dwellings. It was circular in
shape,
and what the Earthlings called a bright yellow, like their single
sun.
Rectangular, brownish colored dwellings stood slightly away from the
house.
Pinath figured they were either shed's or some strange form of-something
or
another. He just didn't know and didn't care to know.
Pinath stepped out of the small craft and looked warily around. Strange
scents assaulted his nostrils, and he actually snorted, trying to
rid his
sensitive sense of smell of the offensive scents. No doing, the strange
odors still waged their private war with his nostrils. He shook his
head,
gingerly snuffed the air, choked on the strange scents and was thrown
into a
coughing fit. He got his coughing under control and tried once again,
unsuccessfully to catch a somewhat familiar scent on the wind. He
shook his
head, growled lightly in his throat, and returned to the interior
of his
craft.
"Rotten planet," he complained, grabbing a bag from within
the bowels of
the small spacecraft.
"I don't hope to be here to long. Better be able to find Arianna
quickly,
kill those fragling Saiyans and be done with it soon." He glanced
up at the
sky as he walked back down the landing ramp of the vessel. "I
already hate
this poor excuse for a planet. More like a ball of rock and water,
this is
no damn planet!"
He cursed some more as he walked towards the small building within
the
clearing. "Time to find out how friendly the Earthlings really
are." he
said softly to himself.
******************************************************************************
************
Pinath walked up to the front door, or at least what he supposed was
the
front door, and knocked lightly. He heard a high-pitched voice call
from
within, "Just a moment Videl, I'll be right there. I wasn't expecting
you
for another hour at least!" Pinath shook his head, Stupid Earthlings
he
thought.
The door opened and a tall woman with dark black hair and a bright
kimono
on stood in the doorway. Her face registered surprise, "Oh,"
she said,
glancing around behind him. "I was-Oh dear! I?m sorry, my name
is Chi Chi,
may I help you with something Mr.-?"
"Pinath Astarian. I'm looking for a fellow by the name of Vegeta.
Maybe
you can help me find him. His father and my fiance's grandfather were
old
friends." He said, stretching the truth as far as it would go
and then some.
The woman's face went pale, her eyes closed slightly in anger, maybe
hatred, Pinath wasn't quite sure. If it was hatred, we may have a
few things
in common, Pinath thought to himself.
"He lives in town," the woman replied gruffly. "You'll
find him at the
Capsule Corp. He lives there with his wife and two children. If you
find
them, tell Bulma hi for me and tell Vegeta to drop dead, for good!"
With
that, the woman slammed the door in his face.
Pinath backed up in surprise, dropping the bag next to his feet. He'd
never had a door slammed in his face before, or at least no one had
lived
long after trying it.
He spared on more glace at the door, than picked up the bag he'd dropped
at his feet and started walking in towards town. He figured it would
be well
past dark before he reached town, there was lot a Feral Cat could
do on this
pitiful planet for fun!

************
Arianna watched as the Ambulance careened around the corner, it's
sirens
blaring and lights flashing. People hustled around, hurrying to get
home.
She'd only been here for a few shorts months, but she knew enough
about
Humans to know this was not normal behavior. Something was going on,
something big. She stopped a young girl who was rushing by her, and
froze
when she saw whom it was. She had two young women with her, one dark
haired,
the other a blonde. She's seen the dark haired one the day she'd fought
Trunks and his friend. The young girl stared up at her, "Can
I help you with
something?"
Arianna fought for her voice, "Y-yes," she stammered. The
young girl was
Bra, Trunks little sister. She shook her head trying to think straight.
She
looked around, at the people hurrying about. "What's going on?"
She finally
asked. "Why is everyone so upset?"
Bra looked over at her one friend, the light haired one. They both
shuddered. "Someone was attacked on one of the secondary roads
a few hours
ago by a big black cat. They don't know if the fellow will make it.
My
brother called and told me to get home right away. They're saying
the cat is
still loose and is very dangerous. The Authorities are going to issue
orders
that everyone will need to be in their houses by dusk."
The young girl shuddered again. The dark haired girl spoke up. "If
you
know what's best, you'd be on your way home too. That's were we're
going.
Me and my brother, and Bra and her brother already went up against
a big cat
and it was pretty nasty, I don't even think it was from Earth."
Bra nodded her bright blue head. "Yes," she said, "The
thing could talk.
Said it was here for revenge." Bra shuddered again.
Arianna noticed the faint scars on Bra's left shoulder. The young
woman
had a tube top on, and the three thin lines showed easily against
Bra's
tanned skin. "Did you get those from the cat?" Arianna asked,
nodding to
Bra's shoulder.
Bra glanced down at her bare shoulder, and silently nodded her head.
"There was something strange about that cat, it-" Bra stopped
talking and
looked over at Arianna. "We're going to get going, you should
do the same."
She said, looking strangely at the young woman. There was something
familiar
about her, something strange. I almost could swore I know her from
somewhere, that I met her somewhere, someplace, Bra thought to herself,
shaking her head confusedly. She turned to her friends, and they nodded
their heads in agreement. The trio started off, without a backwards
glace.
Arianna watched them walk away, their words chasing themselves around
in
her head. A big black cat, she thought, shaking her head as she continued
to
walk down the crowded, busy street. How is it possible for there to
be
another Arcaticain here on Earth, it has to be another Arcaticain,
it just
has to be. I couldn?t imagine an Earth cat doing that kind of damage,
could
it? No, wait, it had to be an Earth cat, it's not possible for it
to have
been an Arcaticain, I?m the only one here. She sighed to herself.
She had
to be the only Arcaticain here. She just had to be!
******************************************************************************
************
Pinath stared out from the underbrush, he was not far from the outskirts
of the town. He watched as the foolish humans busily rushed around,
hurrying
to the supposed safety of their puny homes. If he wanted to get into
their
homes and ravage them, he could. Their thin wooden walls wouldn't
stop him,
neither would the thick walls of concrete or titanium. Their Earth
houses
would not stop a full-grown Arcaticain male.
He powered up, ascending up to the Raging Feral form. It was time
to
wreak havoc with these pitiful humans again. He'd attacked one a few
hours
before, and had scared the old man half senseless. Probably gave the
old
fool a heart attack. Pinath licked his jaws, his tongue caressing
his sharp
incisors. He saw three young woman pass in front of him, one with
dark black
hair, one's hair was as golden as the sun, and the third's was as
blue as
the sky above. Their scents carried to him on the wind, and one's
in
particular almost sent him into a killing frenzy.
The scent was changed slightly, but it was unmistakable. King Vegeta.
The blue-haired one was related to the bastard. Pinath growled low
in his
throat, his clawed paws ground into the soft dirt. His bright green
eyes
narrowed, and his sinewy muscles bunched in anticipation of the attack
to
come.
******************************************************************************
************
Bra bid farewell to her friends and turned to walk the rest of the
way
home to Capsule Corp. alone. She grabbed her cell phone from her small
purse
and dialed her home number. The phone rang a few times, then a gruff
voice
answered. "Good Evening, Capsule Corp. Vegeta speaking, what
do you want?"
Bra laughed.
"Almost good, Daddy." She said into the tiny cell phone.
"But the 'What
do you want', could have been left out. I hope Trunks doesn't know
you're
answering the phone that way." She listened to her father grumble
about
something along the lines about not caring if the upstart teenager
knew or
not. "Trunks isn't a teenager anymore Daddy. He's twenty-five,
almost
twenty-six now. Hardly a teenager."
Vegeta grumbled something else that made Bra laugh even harder.
"Whatever Daddy, I'm on my home now. You might want to tell the
'upstart teenager', he wanted me home half an hour ago. He called
to warn
me about the cat and wanted me home."
Vegeta practically yelled through the phone about the cat. "You
should've listened to your brother. That cat has it out for our family
and I
don't want to see anything happen to you. I'd never hear the end of
it from
your mother. That woman doesn?t know when to stop nagging me!"
Vegeta
calmed down a little and said softly, "Get home as soon as possible,
they
still haven't found the cat, but it's attacked a few more people since
the
first one this afternoon."
"Alright Daddy. I should be home in a few minutes. I'm just a
few
blocks away from Capsule Corp." Bra said. She clicked the phone
shut and
put back in her purse.
Just then she heard the soft-pitched growl behind her.
******************************************************************************
************
The blue-haired girl had just put the small device away when Pinath
jumped out from the bushes that concealed him. He growled softly,
and was
satisfied as the girl stiffly came to a stop a few meters in front
of him.
She slowly turned around to face him and her bright blue eyes widened
in
fear. "You're not the same cat!" She breathed on a whisper.
Pinath stalked nearer to her. "Ah, you've met Arianna then?"
He
questioned softly.
"Arianna?" The girl asked.
"Yes, the only other Arcaticain here on this miserable planet.
Did you
defeat her?"
The girl shook her light blue head. "No, she got injured and
left." She
said softly.
"Injured how. Surely you did'?t hurt my mate?"
"No, she fought my brother and his best friend. They cut her
tail off
and probably blinded her." The girl answered quietly.
"Your brother?" The cat purred softly.
"Yes, my brother. Trunks."
"Not Vegeta?" The cat inquired.
"No, he's my father." The girl started backing up slowly,
but refused to
show her fear.
Pinath watched her amused. She was trying to hide her fear, he had
to
commend her for that. She was related to King Vegeta, and so that
meant she
had to die! He slowly advances towards her, his sharps claws sheathing
and
unsheathing. "King Vegeta is you father, huh?" Pinath growled
menacingly.
"No, King Vegeta was my grandfather. He died long ago, before
my brother
or I were born." She continued to slowly backup. The small device
in her
purse began to ring shrilly and made her jump in surprise or fright.
Pinath
chuckled low in his throat.
Just a bit touchy, Pinath thought to himself. He watched as the girl
fumbled with her purse, trying to get the small device out. That was
when he
launched himself into the air towards her. She gasped as she looked
up and
saw the huge cat coming towards her. Pinath tumbled to the ground,
the young
girl lying beneath his splayed paws. "I have waited along time
to face one
of the Saiyan race. Today I will take my people's revenge out on you
and
your dishonorable kind."
******************************************************************************
************
Bra watched as the huge cat raised his powerful paw and struck her
across
the jaw. The pain exploded white-hot in her head. Stars flew around
her
head like bright little birds. She called all her energy to her hands
and
shot an energy bolt directly into the large cat's stomach. The animal
howled
in pain, and struck one of his large paws across her shoulder and
chest.
Bra screamed in pain and flung her small purse into the cat's streamlined
head. The cat shrank back and howled in rage. His teeth clamped down
sharply on her left shoulder. Bra screamed again in pain and picked
up a
near by piece of duracrete, with her right hand, and slammed it into
the
cat's head.
The cat growled in pain, left go of Bra's shoulder and swiped both
paws
down across Bra's upper chest and across her exposed neck. Bra screamed
out
in pain one last time and passed out from the fear and pain.
******************************************************************************
************
Pinath glanced back as he crept back into the shroud of the nearby
woods.
He had not killed the young woman, it would act as a warning to the
rest of
King Vegeta's descendents. He would have the last laugh here, especially
as
he slit Vegeta's throat.
******************************************************************************
************
Trunks glanced at the door, his sister should've been home by now.
She'd called over a half hour ago. Trunks looked up at the clock on
the
wall for the umpteenth time in fifteen minutes. He walked over to
a nearby
chair, sat down, only to get back up. He walked over to the door looked
out
and walked over to a bookstand and took the top magazine off the stack.
He
quickly leafed through the magazine and laid it back down. Then looked
back
up at the clock.
Not even a minute had passed.
Where the hell are they? He silently swore to himself.
He whirled back around and walked back over to the door just as it
was
flung open and both his mother and father walked through the swinging
door.
One look at their faces and Trunks new something wasn't right. "What?"
He
asked impatiently, looking from his father to his mother. "What
is it? What
the hell happened?"
Bulma ran into the kitchen, tears pouring down her cheeks, the sobs
racking her slight body. Trunks turned to his father. "Father,
what
happened? Did you find her?"
Vegeta turned red-rimmed eyes towards his son. "We found her.
She's in
the hospital" Vegeta said, his voice braking. "If I ever
find that damn cat,
I?ll kill it with my own fucking bare hands." He swore, punching
the nearby
wall.
"What happened?" Trunks asked, laying a restraining hand
on his father's
shoulder.
"Don't touch me right now boy!" Vegeta shouted, shaking
Trunks hand from
his shoulder.
"I just want to know what you found." Trunks said softly.
"We found you're sister," Came Bulma's reply from the kitchen
archway.
"She was badly beaten up." Bulma stifled a sob, putting
her hand up to her
mouth. "She was covered in blood and she had bite and claw marks
all over
her upper body."
Trunks looked from his father back to his mother. "The cat?"
He asked.
Both his parents nodded their heads in agreement.
"Is she going to be alright?" Trunks asked.
"She's critical," his father answered. "They don't
know if she'll make
it or not."
Trunks looked from his father to his mother, shaking his head in
disbelief. Then he ran upstairs, unable to believe what he had been
told.
Not wanting to believe it.
