Arcatica was destroyed by King Vegeta. Years later the planet sends its finest warrior to destroy King Vegeta, but the warrior falls in love with one of the enemies.

CHAPTER 6: ARIANNA OPENS HER HEART

He had asked to see her, and she had agreed. Arianna was counting on
this relationship giving her the details she needed on Trunks family. She
would find a way to kill the whole lot of them.
Arianna had managed to locate an available apartment not far from Capsule
Corp. She was even informed that the building itself was owned by the
Capsule Corp. Arianna almost laughed at the irony of the situation.
The apartment wasn?t to small, considering what she was paying for it.
It consisted of a kitchen-good thing she knew how to cook, a living space
called a-living room?, a bedroom with a nice cushy bed, a bathroom, and a
small room referred to as a study. Why on Arcatica would she want to study
the small room? These Earthlings sure have some strange customs, Arianna
thought to herself.
The single sun was just making it's appearance as Arianna walked out of
the large bathroom, toweling her hair out, and noticed that her answering
machine's message light was flashing. Who would call me this early in the
morning, she wondered as she sauntered over to the little machine. Reaching
down, she tapped the small flashing button and listened as the tape within
rewound itself. The machine clicked and begun playback.
Someone cleared their throat, nervously. "Yeah, um Arianna, it's
me-Trunks. Um, I was just seeing if you were up yet, you said last night you
had to go to work early this morning. I just thought I'd call and see if I
could catch you before you left. Guess I didn?t, so um-give me a call when
you get home, alright? You have my number. Talk to you later, bye." The
phone clicked, and the machine rewound the message again.
Arianna smiled to herself, The boy has got it bad! She thought silently.
Won?t be hard to get to the rest of the family through him. She pulled the
towel down from her hair and left it drape down over her shoulders, and
turned to look into a near by mirror. Her own bright eyes stared out at her,
watching-waiting for the right time, the perfect time. I will know when the
time has come, she thought at herself.
She took the terry cloth towel off of her shoulders, threw in down on the
floor in a heap and ran one of her hands briefly through her wet hair. She
glanced back towards the mirror, caught her reflection there and winced at
her image. Her hair was an absolute mess, it looked like it hadn't been
combed in days, not to mention what her face looked like.
Arianna dashed back into the bathroom, grabbed her brush up off of the
sink counter and briskly took the brush through her hair. Amazingly, the
brush never got caught in any tangles. She glanced back up into the bathroom
mirror and smiled at her reflection, her hair looked a lot better this time.
Now my face, she thought as she looked at all the make-up bottles and
compacts thrown around on the sink counter. By Arcaticain standards, Arianna
was drop dead gorgeous, even by Earth standards, but their were still a few
Arcaticain traits that she had to cover up.
She applied a small amount of foundation to her sun-bronzed skin, making
it appear just a shade lighter than it really was. Next she applied a light
shade of eye shadow so that her eyes wouldn't stand out as much as they
already did. After that she applied a thin layer of powder cover-up and
applied a soft blush to her cheeks on top of that. Next she put on a
sun-ripen raspberry lipstick. She looked herself over in the mirror and
smiled again.
She brushed her hair out again, and made sure that her long bangs covered
up the slight points of her ears. No Earthlings that she'd met yet had
pointed ears, no sense tipping her hand to early. I don't need Trunks
getting suspicious right away, better to let the little love in the dark.
Arianna laughed delightedly to herself. What he don't know won't kill
him-right away that is!
She glanced at herself in the mirror one last time, took in her hair and
make-up and last of all looked down at her outfit. A simple flowered gray
skirt that was knee length, and had a short slit up both sides. Her shirt
was a simple tank top blouse, creamy white in color. She wore simple
open-toed, jet-black sandals.
"Ready," she said to her reflection.

Arianna stepped out of her apartment building and ran straight into
Trunks. "Hey there!" He said, grabbing hold of her arm to steady her. He
looked up the building, and then looked down at her. "I called you, but you
didn't answer, I figured you'd already left for work." He said, looking
into her strange eyes.
"Yeah, I got your message." She said, smiling up at him. "Actually, I
was in the shower when you called." She looked down at the sidewalk,
blushing a little bit.
Trunks smiled, "The shower, huh?" His smile got even bigger.
"Um, yeah." Arianna looked up at him and noticed for the first time just
how blue his eyes were. You could almost drown in them, she thought to
herself. She shivered slightly, and Trunks must have noticed it.
He took his jacket off and wrapped it around her bare shoulders. "Still
kind of cool to be wearing summer shirts, isn't it?" He asked, not taking
his hands from her shoulders.
"It was pretty warm yesterday." She said.
"That was yesterday." Trunks said, looking into her beautiful eyes
again. "So, where do you work anyway?"
"Promise not to laugh?"
"Laugh, why?" He asked, looking at her strangely.
"Well, because I'm the new receptionist at Capsule Corp."
Trunks jaw dropped and his eyes opened wide in surprise. "No way!" He
exclaimed.
"I didn't know what to say last night when you said you were the CEO of
it. I mean, I know you're not suppose to have any relationships with
employees and I didn't want that to ruin anything." She said shyly, smiling
coyly up at him.
His smile broadened. He's eating this whole thing up! Arianna thought
to herself.
Trunks wrapped his arm around her shoulders and they begun walking down
the street. "That's alright," he said, he felt like he was walking on cloud
nine! "Remember, I'm the CEO. I can do anything I damn well please."
Arianna smiled up at him and he smiled down at her. They walked the rest
of the way to Capsule Corp. headquarters in silence. Trunks thinking about a
future involving the beautiful woman next to him and Arianna thinking about
how she was going to slaughter Trunks and his entire family.

The phone rang again, Arianna glared death rays at the noisy device.
Don't these retched Humans have anything better to be doing with their
time than calling here? She thought to herself. She touched a button,
picked the phone up and said politely into the receiver, "Capsule Corp. This
is the main receptionist, how may I direct your call." Arianna listened for
a moment, glared up at the ceiling, than said in her most sugar-coated voice,
"No m'?am, you're son's in an important meeting at the moment-" the lady on
the line began yelling, Arianna began tapping her long fingernails against
the wooden desk.
"Yes, Ms. Briefs, I know you're Trunks mother-" another outbreak.
Arianna rolled her eyes. "Yes, ma'am. No ma'am." Again she got cut off.
What an infuriating woman. She's going to die with the rest of Vegeta's
family. Arianna thought wickedly to herself. "Yes, ma'am, I understand you
are his mother-" Again she cut her off. "My name?" Arianna looked at the
phone. "You want my name?" She asked incredulously, the woman screamed over
the phone again.
Someone tapped Arianna's shoulder, she looked up to see Trunks standing
there. She smiled up at him, "Just in time," She said evilly and handed the
phone to him.
He looked at her curiously and took the phone from her. "Hello?" He
said wearily. He had to hold the phone away from his ear to keep from going
deaf from his mother's rantings. "Yes, mother. She was just hired today."
He paused, listening to his mother scream some more. "No mother, I'm not
going to fire her just because you say too," He paused, listening, looking up
towards the ceiling. "Her name? It's Arianna. She's real sweet mom."
This time it was his turn to roll his eyes. "I'll be home in the few hours.
Don't worry I won't get caught by that cat. I'll be ready this time." He
listened again. "Yes mother, I love you too. See you in a few hours. I'm
going to lunch now. Bye." He hung up the phone quickly before she could say
anything further.
He let out a sigh of relief and looked down at Arianna, "You ready to go
to lunch?" He asked, watching her wearily eyeing the phone as it begun to
ring again.
She looked up at him, looked back down at the ringing phone and back up
at him. "Yeah, but I'm not scheduled for lunch brake for another hour at
least. Leslie still has to take her lunch, and she has go before I do."
Arianna absently picked at her fingernails, "She's been here longer than
I have, and made it abundantly clear that she takes all her lunches and
brakes before anyone else does." She looked up at him again, smiling meekly.
"Don't want to piss the supervisor off on my first day, now do I?"
Trunks reached down to take her hands, "Tell her you're taking your
lunch. If she causes any problems, I'll talk to her."
She saw the twinkle in his eyes and nodded her head quickly. "Ok, give
me a few seconds, alright?"
"I'll be right here," He said, smiling brightly at her.
Arianna got up from her seat and walked over towards Leslie Crawsly's
office door, lightly she knocked on the closed door, the sound echoing
emptily in the room. The door was opened a crack and Arianna gingerly jarred
the door open to look inside. Leslie sat her desk, her large nose stuck in a
magazine. Arianna cleared her throat, "Ahem, Ms. Crawsly?"
The portly overweight woman looked up from the magazine and glared at
Arianna, "Yes," she said, her voice a few degrees below freezing.
"Um, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be going to lunch."
Ms. Crawsly looked up towards the clock on her office wall. "It's just
half past noon," the overweight pig said. She turned her attention back to
Arianna, "I still have to take my lunch, you'll have to wait until I take
mine."
Arianna looked back towards Trunks than back into Ms. Crawsly. "Ma'am, I
really um-I have a lunch date and he's here, waiting for me."
The obtuse woman's eyes narrowed. "I don't care if you were going out
with Trunks himself, I have not had my lunch and so therefore you have to
wait!"
Arianna felt someone breeze past her and through the door. "Hello there
Ms. Crawsly," Trunks said, stepping into the office. "How are you this fine
day?" He turned his attention to Arianna, not even waiting for Ms. Crawsly
to reply. "Are you ready my dear?" He asked Arianna, extending his elbow
for her to take.
"I'm sorry Trunks, darling," Arianna began, watching as Trunks' eyes lit
up. "But Ms. Crawsly says I can not take my lunch with you until she has
taken her lunch." She put her hand on Trunks' arm in a dramatic gesture,
"Can you wait another hour or so until Ms. Crawsly has taken her lunch?"
Trunks looked over at Ms. Crawsly, who was squirming in her seat. "By
all means Arianna, go to lunch. We don't want to keep Mr. Trunks waiting!"
She said smiling, her eyes glaring daggers at Arianna.
Trunks smiled at Ms. Crawsly, "I'll have her back within an hour." He
said, knowing that the portly woman couldn't and wouldn?t say anything to
him, not if she valued her cushy high paying job. Trunks turned to Arianna,
"You're ready then, my dear?" He asked, as he steered her out of the fuming
woman's office. Arianna nodded her head, smiling brightly.
Trunks heart soared, She's so beautiful, he thought to himself, staring
into her strange green-blue eyes. Her eyes still plagued him, someplace in
the back of his mind he knew he'd seen those eyes someplace else, somewhere
before. But where?

Trunks held the door open for and smiled as she walked into the
restaurant past him. The waiter was quick to approach them. "Ah, Mister
Trunks!" The waiter said, greeting them friendly with a handshake. "A dinner
companion today?" Trunks nodded his head and the waiter smiled even wider.
"Your usual table, sir?"
"No, a booth in the back, near the band." Trunks answered. "I believe
Arianna would like music a lot more than to look out at the passersby."
The waiter nodded his head, picked up two menus and bid the pair to
follow him towards the back of the restaurant, in the veiled shadows of the
private booths. Arianna glanced interestedly around the upper-class diner.
It was lit by chandeliers and candlelight. The tables were arranged in
diamond formations, in the center of the building, surrounded on all sides by
the private booth, except for in the front, near the large picture window.
There, four tables sat, giving their occupants a view of the activity outside
of the restaurant.
Trunks pulled the chair out for Arianna and gently pushed it back in once
she had sat down. He took the seat directly across from her. She smiled
over at him, staring into his amazing blue eyes. They captivated and
entranced her, like nothing else ever had. She felt like she was falling
into a raging sea storm, staring into his eyes. Her breath caught, What is
wrong with me? She exclaimed to herself. She shook her head, trying to
bring her thoughts back to matters at hand. How to kill him and his family.
Suddenly something occurred to her, her mind flashed back to something,
to a dream-or a nightmare?.
Yes, you could, a voice echoed around her. It's not his fault, or his
father's, that I'm dead Arianna. You can't hold him responsible for what
happened to me. The Great Arcaticain Cat wanted me with her, and so she took
me. I would have died one way or another, she just gave me a warrior's
death, that's all. Please, my grandchild, try to make the rest of our family
understand. You cannot hold the remaining Saiyan's responsible for King
Vegeta's actions. Your destiny here is not revenge, Arianna. You were
brought here for an entirely different reason.
She shook her head, trying to shake off the sudden feeling of dread that
invaded every part of her body. NO, it surely couldn't be! She thought to
herself. It just can?t be, there is no possible way. She looked at the man
sitting across from her, his lavender colored hair, his bright blue eyes, his
tentative smile, Could I possibly fall in love with him? No! A voice
screamed in the back of her mind, An Arcaticain warrior never falls in love
with the enemy! You'll be on the receiving end of Arcaticain Justice,
instead of administering it! The little voice continued to scream.
Arianna stared over at Trunks, his mouth was moving but she heard not a
word he said, she was still fighting her own inner war.

Arianna threw her purse down on the couch in her living room and walked
into the kitchen. Trunks followed her in, putting his hands on her shoulders
and gently rubbing the tension out of her neck and back. "What's on your
mind, Love?" He asked, whispering into her ear.
His breath was warm and arousing, playing games with her emotions.
Arianna turned around to face him, her eyes searching his for something. He
just stared back at her, gazing at her beauty, allowing her to search the
depths of his heart and soul. He loved her already, he knew that, and he
hoped that she would come to love him just as much.
"Could you-" she stopped, turning away from him. What am I doing? She
silently berated herself.
He touched her shoulder, gently urging her to turn and face him again.
"Could I what?" He asked softly.
"Could you ever love an enemy?"
That caught him off guard and he just looked at her. An enemy? What
enemy? He asked himself, looking at her quizzically. "What are you talking
about Arianna? What enemy?" He looked at her suddenly, his eyes opening
wide is disbelief. No it just couldn't be, he thought to himself.
"Arianna," he grasped her by the shoulders, she turned distraught green-blue
eyes up to his startling blue. "Arianna, do you know something about the
Arcaticain Cats?" He asked, gripping her shoulders harder.
She flinched, but he didn't loosen his grip on her. "Do you?" He asked
again.
"No," she lied. Her eyes focusing on the floor, and the decorative
tiles. "I was just wondering," she murmured, looking anywhere but up at his
face, less he see the truth in her eyes. It's not possible, she thought, I
cannot be falling for him, I just can't!
"Wondering what?" He asked, his voice rising slightly with frustration.
"Why were you wondering, Arianna?"
She finally looked up at him, swallowing the lump that had formed in her
throat. This could not be happening! "I know that your father does not
hold human's in high esteem. He considers them puny and beneath him. Would
he approve of us?" That should stall him, she thought, her head and heart
both arguing to be heard.
Trunks smiled at her, "He approved of my mother." He said, pulling her
to him in a bear hug.
You must stop this now! Her head shouted.
Why? Her heart asked. This man makes you feel things that Pinath never
has, maybe he is your destiny!
Arianna grabbed hold of Trunks, digging her nails into his back, he
tightened his grip on her, holding her closely to his heart.
Trunks was in love with Arianna and she was still to confused to know
what her feelings were for the mighty half Saiyan-half Human Prince. She
likes him and cares for him, but refuses to believe that she maybe in love
with lavender haired prince. She was still bound and determined that she was
going to kill him and his family, her heart had other plans in mind.
